Phase A of Paralimni Marina expected to be completed by the end of 2024

Phase A of the Paralimni Marina is expected to be completed at the end of the year, featuring 300 berths and with the first boats anticipated to arrive before the start of the tourist season, Paralimni - Deryneia Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos has been informed.

Accompanied by several Municipality officials, he visited the construction site on 16 September.

An announcement by Paralimni - Deryneia Municipality said that during his visit, Nikolettos "was informed by Anthoulis Kountouris, the Director of PMV Maritime Holdings Ltd on the progress of the implementation of the project, which is expected to contribute positively to the development of the region as well as to the attraction of maritime tourism, since an official entry point to the Republic of Cyprus has been created."

By the end of the year, the announcement continued, “It is expected that Phase A of the marina, which concerns the port works, the administration offices and the commercial section, will be completed with the aim of its operation in the next tourist season. The project will have 300 berths and the first boats are expected to arrive before the start of the new tourist season."

As Nikolettos was quoted as stating, "Both the commercial developments that are expected to be created and the fact that an official entry point will be created in the Republic from Protaras suggest that the region will experience a significant boom."

He also noted that the Paralimni Marina "is the only Cypriot marina project, (with a budget) amounting to €100 million, for which 100% of the financing comes from a Cypriot investor."
