Celestyal temporarily suspends calls to Israel

Celestyal has temporarily suspended calling to Israel on its Three Continents cruise, until the end of November 2023, and said the situation will be monitored for any itineraries departing after this date. Celestyal will replace the call to Israel with an additional call at Crete, it said.

“Following the recent events in Israel, Celestyal is closely monitoring the situation and maintains constant communication with the authorities,” it said. “Our top priority is the health, safety, and comfort of our guests, and after careful consideration we have made the necessary updates to our itineraries by temporarily replacing the call into Ashdod, Israel with a call to Heraklion, Crete.”

Chris Theophilides, CEO at Celestyal, said: “Firstly, as a business, our thoughts are with those impacted by the events in Israel. We wish for the safety of everyone affected and a rapid return of peace to the country. We remain in close coordination with the authorities, and the safety, security, and comfort of our guests remains our upmost priority. On the advice of our internal teams and the relevant authorities, we have decided to temporarily replace Israel on our Three Continents itinerary with the city of Heraklion on the island of Crete, until the end of November this year. Our teams will be contacting affected customers to advise them of the updates to their itineraries and the additional provisions that have been made to ensure their continued enjoyment.”

Celestyal said it will contact all affected customers and agents directly in the coming days to advise of the updated itinerary alongside additional provisions to ensure their ongoing comfort and enjoyment.

The change in itinerary impacts the below cruises, and any additional dates will be monitored:

The seven-night Three Continents cruise with departures on 25 October, and 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 November 2023.
