Papantoniou & Papantoniou LLC conducts European Law Firm Association General Meeting

The law firm Papantoniou & Papantoniou LLC recently conducted the General Meeting of the European Law Firm Association at the Capo Bay Hotel in Protaras.

As noted in an announcement from the law firm, the aforementioned organisation is composed of a network of independent law firms that offer cross-border but also local legal services. It must be further noticed that every member state is represented exclusively by one law firm.

The 29 September 2023 convention's speaker was Dr. Michalis Chatzipanagiotis, assistant professor of Private Law at the University of Cyprus, developing the subject titled 'Artificial Intelligence and its legal aspects'.

In his speech, Dr. Chatzipanagiotis considered the developments in the realm of artificial intelligence and the effects it will have on the Legal Profession and its practice. Furthermore, the delegates were informed on the EU.AI ACT which the European Union will enforce within the forthcoming months.

During discussions, the European delegates considered the application of ChatGTP-4 in lawyers' daily routine, moreover, discussions took place on the ways in which the legal profession can evolve with the use of artificial intelligence, the announcement concluded.
