H&M announces designer collaboration with Rabanne

H&M has announced its latest designer collaboration with Rabanne, a trailblazer on the French fashion scene thanks to its late founder Paco Rabanne’s era-defining 1960s creations that has been reinvigorated by creative director Julien Dossena since 2013. The collection will launch in selected stores and online at hm.com on 9 November 2023.

“In keeping with the collection’s party-ready aesthetic, the Rabanne H&M collaboration is now being announced with a glamorous event in Paris at Silencio nightclub,” H&M said announcing the news. Guests including Jared Leto, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk and Elle Fanning offered an exclusive preview of the collection ahead of its launch.

“Rabanne’s metallic dresses are instantly-recognisable pieces of fashion history. We’re thrilled to bring a dazzling array of Rabanne designs to our customers with this sensational collaboration,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design womenswear and creative advisor at H&M.

Julien Dossena, creative director of Rabanne, added: “As a designer, I’ve always been interested in exploring hedonism and empowerment. I was very enthusiastic to work with H&M on a collection that will introduce Rabanne’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience in a democratic way.”

The Rabanne H&M collection includes womenswear, menswear, shoes and accessories, as well as an H&M Home décor capsule that complements the fashion collection.
H&M was an early pioneer in the fashion collaboration space, launching its designer collaboration series with a partnership with the late Karl Lagerfeld in November 2004. Since then, it has partnered with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Versace, Comme des Garçons, Balmain, Maison Margiela, Stella McCartney and most recently Mugler, to offer limited-edition collections that make high-fashion more accessible.
