ORA Developers make each project unique

ORA Developers’ projects are known for being both eye-catching and built to the highest specifications. The properties have also become noteworthy for having additional, special, qualities.

As noted by Naguib Sawiris, Chairman and CEO of ORA, “I think any businessman has his personal touches.” Going on to observe that Elon Musk, for example, enjoys adding high-tech details to his projects, Sawiris continued, “You can say Naguib would have preferred to be an artist than a businessman.”

Sawiris’ comments are featured in the second episode of ‘A Journey Through Time,’ a video series documenting the company’s innovative activities and many achievements. You can watch the video at the end of this article.

Sawiris’ artistic eye, meanwhile, also means that the Chairman and CEO is open to interesting suggestions when it comes to adding special touches to ORA’s properties and is prepared to spend more to create something special.

This means that he was ready to create the longest swimming pool in the Caribbean, for example, which perfectly complements the sleek, modern design of Silversands Grenada. As pointed out by Sawiris, the pool is an element that means even the most demanding visitor knows “from the beginning, he's in the right place” as soon as they see it.

The pool leads to Grand Anse Beach, one of the top beaches in the world, with miles of soft white sand, clear waters, and calm breezes, making it a perfect part of a resort conceived as an antidote to the faceless luxury frequent travelers usually encounter.

Also, during the design phase of Ayia Napa Marina in Cyprus, the Chairman and CEO’s attention to details made him adamant that he wanted to include structures unlike anything that already existed in Cyprus. The result was the instantly recognisable twisted towers, which have become a landmark on the island.

“There is no other one in Cyprus, and you can count less than 30 or 40 ones around the whole world,” Sawiris underlined in the video.

Situated on the southeastern coast of Cyprus, Ayia Napa Marina offers world-class yachting facilities, luxurious residences, a variety of retail boutiques and enticing waterfront fine dining options as well as a pleasing selection of recreational and nightlife experiences.

In Greece, ORA properties include Silversands Mykonos, where whitewashed houses, meandering lanes, and magnificent vistas of the sea delight visitors, and Yi Hotel Mykonos, which offers a detox-oriented escape in beautiful surroundings.

ORA properties with a unique element also include Eighteen in Pakistan, which has one of the country’s first 18-hole golf courses. The golf course takes the already stellar Eighteen luxury living development to the next level. It makes up no less than 35% of the project’s land area and using the site’s natural topography, creates an exciting, high-quality golfing experience. Situated southwest of Islamabad, Eighteen is a secure and relaxing community of luxurious villas and apartments which are serviced by world-class amenities.

Developments, meanwhile, also include the company’s properties in Sawiris’ homeland of Egypt, where major projects currently include ZED El Sheikh Zayed, ZED East, Solana in the New Zayed area, Silversands North Coast, and Pyramid Hills situated on the Giza Plateau.

Located in the heart of El Sheikh Zayed city in Western Cairo, ZED El Sheikh Zayed is a luxurious real estate surrounding the one-of-a-kind ZED Park, the largest green space in the area.

ZED East is a residential-led community that also includes retail and office facilities, located a short distance from New Cairo.

Solana, located in the New Zayed area, features residences and commercial facilities. Silversands North Coast is a luxurious summertime hospitality beach destination.

Offering a variety of residential options, Pyramid Hills, meanwhile, is situated on the Giza Plateau very conveniently near Sheikh Zayed, the vibrant hub of Giza and provides a 360-degree view of Cairo.

Many more breath-taking projects are also on the way, including exciting plans for expansion in the UAE. Described as the largest real estate development in the private sector in the country, ORA’s forthcoming projects in the UAE include a 20-million-square-metre mixed-use development in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi.

These and ORA Developers’ other projects demonstrate that Sawiris has a good eye for what makes a property stand out from the rest. The CEO and Chairman has also made it clear that he is well-aware that even if the insistence on quality he is known for may not always bring out immediate results, it is always worth the effort. He comments, “Some of these projects, as I said, are long-term, so they will not yield vast profits, but they put our company on the right base of being in, what I call, in search of excellence. We are always in search of excellence, and they (the projects) really reflect that.”

The previously mentioned series documenting the company’s innovative activities and many achievements, entitled ‘A Journey Through Time,’ explores some of ORA Developers’ most exciting recent projects while also taking a closer look at its CEO and Chairman, the visionary Naguib Sawiris, and his personal approach to business.

Watch the second video in the series below, to explore, in more detail, what makes each ORA project unique.
