A panel of business executives shared their stories, insights, and perspectives on the future of business, offering practical advice and inspiration for anyone looking to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing world, at the 14th Limassol Economic Forum.

Moderated by George Pantelides, Partner, Chief Strategy Officer and Consulting Services Leader at Deloitte Cyprus, the panel was joined by the Chairman and CEO of METRO SA, Greece, Aristotelis Panteliadis, as well as Vasiliki Christidi, Group General Manager, IOGR Group (SKY express), Greece, Kostis Rokas, Managing Director, CVC, Greece, and Stavros Drakoularakos, General Manager, Philip Morris Cyprus & Malta.

Aristotelis Panteliades spoke about the challenges of the next decade, highlighting climate change, the rise in temperatures, the influence of AI on the workforce and geopolitical instability. He also referred to financial inequalities, democracy being under threat, the ageing of the population and health care as major challenges that need to be addressed.

Vasiliki Christidi said knowledge is power and referred to how the pandemic accelerated the business world’s digital transition. Her company IOGR Group made some groundbreaking decisions, investing in tools and staff to make the business more efficient and reduce its environmental footprint.

Kostis Rokas referred to the importance of ESG, as he said sustainability in inextricably linked to a company’s success and this can’t be compromised.

Stavros Drakoulakos said Philip Morris tries to look at the big picture, with its sustainable growth pillars being the company’s operation and its people, but also KPI.

The 14th Limassol Economic Forum is taking place at City of Dreams Mediterranean, Limassol.
