INTERGAZ celebrates 50 years in business

Intergaz celebrated 50 successful years in business at the company’s former LPG installations in Larnaca.
A number of energy and shipping industry personalities from Cyprus and abroad attended the anniversary event.
Mayors, members of parliament, partners, associates of the company and the family of the company’s founder, the late Kyriacos Pittalis, were all present at the event, which commemorated a pivotal time for the company as it enters a new era.
The Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou, spoke on behalf of Cyprus’ president about the company’s long-term successes in the energy sector.
As the minister stated, Intergaz was established to serve the gas market in 1973 and began its activities in LPG import, storage, bottling and distribution. Today, he said, it has been significantly upgraded, with the company being one of the key members of the VLPG consortium at Vassilikos Energy Center.
Anna Pittalis, Commercial Director, expressed pride that the family business has been succeeding for five decades. She said this year marks a significant milestone for the Company, and the Company’s desire is to commemorate this occasion with its partners, customers, friends, family, and all those who have been an integral part of Intergaz’s history throughout the years.
The CEO of Intergaz, John Pittalis, expressed his pride in the fact that his father, Kyriacos, a highly accomplished entrepreneur, established the foundations for Intergaz’s current prosperity. He assured that his precious legacy of principles and values is the compass for the family and the employees, who are moving steadily and with vision into the new era.
The evening concluded with a surprise concert featuring the esteemed Cypriot artist Anna Vissi, who is also commemorating her remarkable 50-year career.
