Royal Caribbean prepares to launch European office in Limassol

International cruise giant Royal Caribbean is opening its European office in Limassol this week, further cementing its presence in Cyprus.

Royal Caribbean Group said in an announcement that after registering its ship Spectrum of the Seas on the Cypriot register and its financial contribution to the creation of the Innovation and Blue Economy Centre in Limassol, it is now proceeding to open its European office, with headquarters in Limassol.

The launch will take place on 11 October in the presence of Transport, Communications and Works Minister Alexis Vafeades, the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanoli, and executives of Royal Caribbean who will be arriving from Miami, USA.

The launch will also be attended by key stakeholders of the shipping industry, who will be participating in the Maritime Cyprus 2023 Conference that is taking place on 9-11 October in Limassol.

The Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa for Royal Caribbean, Christos Karavos, said he was pleased and proud that the company has managed to open its European office in Cyprus, despite the many obstacles and difficulties it has faced.

The announcement concludes saying that this is the second year running that Royal Caribbean has been carrying out cruises to and from the ports of Cyprus, with demand rising and Cyprus already clinching a coveted spot on the global cruise map.
