Luxury beauty brand Rodial entering the Cypriot market through Relia

Rodial, the global luxury skincare and beauty brand founded by Maria Hatzistefanis, is coming to Cyprus.

Relia Trading, a leading distributor of specialty skin care products, advanced wellness technologies and fitness equipment is now also bringing Rodial to the local market. Relia will be the distributor of Rodial products in the markets of Cyprus, Greece, and Albania.

“We are very excited to be working with Maria on this amazing project and, as we do with every new brand in our portfolio, we will treat it with the utmost respect, love, and passion. Just as we always do at Relia, in all 8 countries where we operate today," Ioannis Charalambous the Director of Brands & Spa Development at Relia Trading commented.

The story of the popular brand

Former beauty editor Maria Hatzistefanis, who participated as an investor on hit television show Dragons' Den, identified a gap in the market for a skincare line that would offer targeted treatments with immediate results and long-term benefits.

Founded in 1999 in London, Rodial is currently available in 35 countries and in over 2,000 luxury department stores worldwide, including Selfridges, Harrods, and Neiman Marcus. The brand's Hero products such as Snake Serum, Dragon's Blood Sculpting Gel, VIT C Brightening Pads, and Banana Lowlighter are chosen by celebrities and influencers worldwide.

After years of working with celebrity makeup artists, Hatzistefanis saw the opportunity to take Rodial to the next level by creating a makeup capsule line that focuses on flawless tone, the perfect complement to Rodial Signature Plumping and sculpting skincare.

Who Maria Hatzistefanis is

Maria began her career in beauty journalism before moving to New York where she received an MBA from Columbia Business School. After a stint in corporate finance at Solomon Brothers, first in New York and then in London, she followed her passion and instinct for beauty by founding Rodial.

A respected and sought-after opinion leader, Hatzistefanis' point of view attracts followers both online and off. Increasingly in demand to speak at fashion, business, and digital conferences, she has also appeared as a guest judge on cult fashion TV show Project Runway and is a patron of the British Fashion Council.

In addition to her skincare and makeup line, Hatzistefanis pioneered the concept of personal contact with the consumer through social media, creating her own social media following @mrsrodial.

She has also released two best-selling books 'How To Be An Overnight Success' and 'How To Make It Happen', which tell the story of how Hatzistefanis launched and built her brands, how she continues to fuel her momentum and innovation, and the challenges and successes encountered at every step of the journey.

A presence in 35 countries

Rodial is currently available in 35 countries and in over 2,000 luxury department stores worldwide, including Selfridges, Harrods & Neiman Marcus.

Since opening the flagship make-up counter and first-of-its-kind Sculpting Bar in Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, in 2014, Rodial's make-up success has grown.

In 2019 Rodial opened a makeup counter in the Harrods Powder Room with the launch of the Purple Haze eyeshadow palette, exclusive to Harrods.

Rodial's in-store presence is the epitome of luxury and style, and the brand's makeup and skincare products are increasingly in demand by customers around the world.

It should be emphasised that since its inception, the brand has built a strong relationship with a network of high-profile global fashion and beauty bloggers, influencers, makeup artists, and celebrities.
