European Sailing Championship will be held in Cyprus with the support of Freedom Finance Europe

On November 19−25, Cyprus will host this year's major international sporting event, 2023 European Championship FAREAST 28R. This is the largest regatta for this class of yachts ever held in Cyprus. Freedom Finance Europe is the general partner and co-organiser of the championship, which will be held with the support of Limassol Municipality and Limassol Marina. The event is organised by the Cyprus International Sailing Club (CISC).

The championship programme includes five racing days with three races per day. Fifteen teams of sailors from Sweden, Austria, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Romania, and Cyprus will take part. Among the participants are two Freedom Finance Europe teams, Freedom Sailing 1 and Freedom Sailing 2, who have repeatedly taken prizes in the Cyprus national sailing championships.

"We are proud to be involved in the organisation of such an important international sporting event. Sailing regattas in the Fareast 28R class of yachts of this level have never before been organised in Cyprus, which has excellent conditions for yachting all year round. We hope that such competitions will become regular and will strengthen Cyprus’ position in the international sporting scene. We wish the sailors a vibrant competition and victory to the strongest", said Evgeniy Tyapkin, Executive Director of Freedom Finance Europe and captain of the company’s team of yachtsmen.

This is not the first major international sporting event that Freedom Finance Europe has organised in Cyprus. In May 2023, the company supported the fourth and final round of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix in Nicosia. Freedom Finance Europe is also involved in organising other socially important national projects in the areas of sports, culture and business.
