Price Index of Construction Materials increases 3.45% in January-October

The Price Index of Construction Materials showed an annual increase of 3.45% in the period January-October 2023 but dropped slightly in October compared to the previous month.

According to CySTAT, the Price Index of Construction Materials for October 2023 reached 134.30 units (base year 2015=100), recording a decrease of 0.13% compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index recorded a decrease of 0.31%.

By main commodity category, increases were recorded in minerals (14.03%), mineral products (5.48%) and products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.67%), whereas decreases were recorded in metallic products (-9.45%) and electromechanical products (-0.05%).

For the period January-October 2023, the index recorded an increase of 3.45% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
