Transport and storage turnover value index jumps by 9.7% in Q3

The Cyprus Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage rose by 9.7% in the third quarter of 2023, compared with the corresponding period of last year, data published by CySTAT show.

According to CySTAT, the index for the third quarter of 2023 reached 162,8 units (base year 2015=100), driven by all economic activities.

Land transport rose by an annual 11.4%, air transport together with storage and transport support activities increased by an annual 10,.9% while water transport by 1.3% and postal and courier activities 0.3%.

During the period January-September 2023, the Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage recorded an increase of 18% compared to the corresponding period of 2022, CySTAT said.
