After the announcement of the election results, Perdikis thanked Xanthou and invited her to help him in the difficult task of unifying the party.

"We will move forward in the coming months to build the unity, cohesion, and independence of the Party," said Perdikis.

At the same time, he appealed to the members of the party urging them to contact him for any issues they face that have to do with the party.

On her part, in statements to journalists, Xanthou wished Perdikis good luck, noting that he has set his goals ahead. She added that Perdikis will not have to face opposition within the party from her, saying that she will continue to be a  member of the party's Central Committee.
