TechIsland and its member Adsterra have announced the official launch of the Women in Tech® Cyprus Chapter.

A relevant announcement describes Women in Tech® as the world’s foremost organisation for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in STEAM, with a mission to bridge the gender gap and empower women to embrace technology.

The global movement encompasses almost 190,000 people, with 45 chapters around the world. Since 2018, over 300,000 women have been impacted through various educational initiatives and mentorship, as well as development programs. The movement aims to empower over 5,000,000 women and girls by 2030.

"The Women in Tech® Cyprus is an open and free community welcoming the participation of women of all ages and backgrounds who work in the tech sector, as well as men supporting female empowerment. Through the international Women in Tech® network, members of the Cyprus Chapter will have access to a Global Mentorship Program and a wide range of educational programs, including with global accelerator Plug & Play. The programs are offered for different age groups and include hard skilling, e.g. coding and blockchain, and soft skilling, like role model program and career bootcamp. Moreover, a Talent Hub with dedicated Job Board for HR Professionals is also offered for members of the community," TechIsland's announcement notes.

As part of its engagement channels the community maintains an active and vibrant Telegram Chat, and holds regular meetups for all members. Those who are interested in actively participating may also join as volunteers to support the Chapter’s day-to-day operations and as mentors within the framework of the Global Mentorship Program. Soon, the Chapter will announce an Advisory Board.
