A spotlight on ORA Developers’ distinctive hospitality ventures

In addition to high-quality residential and commercial projects, ORA Developers is also well-known for its world-class hospitality ventures.

These are divided into two distinctive but equally high-quality brands, the timelessly luxurious Silversands brand and the modern premium Yi Hotel brand.

The company’s flagship project within the hospitality sector is the luxurious Silversands Grenada, situated on Grand Anse Beach.

Silversands Mykonos

Yi Hotel Mykonos, on the popular Greek island, has also become a first choice for travellers looking for somewhere special to stay. Still under development, Silversands Mykonos is certain to be just as popular once complete.

Looking at the company’s hospitality projects in more detail, we see that Silversands Grenada was designed with nature as the main inspiration. It has also made technology an important part of its offering to guests.

Using technology to further upgrade the guests’ experience is something that ORA Developers’ CEO and Chairman Naguib Sawiris has pointed out in the third episode of a five-episode series documenting the company’s trailblazing activities and many achievements, entitled ‘A Journey Through Time,’ and which can be watched at the end of this article.

Sawiris notes that guests can download a software application on their arrival in Grenada which allows them to open the doors of their rooms and suites through a click on their phones, select the music played, control their lights and blinds, order room service, and even see who is ringing their doorbell while they relax on the beach and decide to let them in or not.

Facilities for those staying in the 43 rooms and suites at Silversands Grenada also include but are not limited to a full-service spa, a fitness centre, flavourful dining options including two globally inspired restaurants, and a 100-metre pool, which is the longest in the Caribbean.

As Sawiris notes in the third ‘A Journey Through Time’ episode, ORA Developers has essentially built its own hospitality management company to run the venues, recruiting some of the best names in the industry.

As Sawiris stated, this will help ensure each property is properly staffed and managed to the high standards he expects.

It should be noted that ORA Developers’ hospitality sector offerings come in addition to its many other high-calibre residential and commercial properties. These currently include Ayia Napa Marina in Cyprus, Eighteen in Pakistan, ZED East, ZED West, Silversands North Coast, Solana, and Pyramid Hills in Egypt, and Grenada Silversands Villas.

Looking ahead, meanwhile, ORA’s entrance into the UAE market - in partnership with Q Holding to develop a smart and sustainable city in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi - is its largest development and first footprint in the UAE region. It is also the largest real estate development in the history of the UAE’s private sector.

ORA envisions Abu Dhabi’s project to be an up-scale, sustainable, and comprehensive city of the future with a total area of 12.6 million SQM, which makes it equivalent to 65% of the area of Beirut and which makes ORA the only developer having this size of land in the UAE private sector, targeting both residents and tourists looking for a luxurious live-work-play community.

The waterfront development is located at a unique and central location, on the sandy beach between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, providing the opportunity to create a destination that bridges between both cities.
