EC approves first amendment to Cyprus' CAP 2023-2027 strategy

The European Commission has approved the first amendment of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027 submitted by Cyprus’ Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.

The Ministry said in an announcement that the European Commission approved the 1st amendment to the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan (CAP) 2023-2027, which was submitted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment on 19 October, 2023.

The aim of the 1st amendment of the Strategic Plan, “which was the subject of negotiations with the European Commission”, it said, was to improve specific provisions following the experience gained during the first year of its implementation.

It is noted that the changes will be officially implemented as of 1 January, 2024.
