CMMI participates in UN international symposium

The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute's (CMMI) Monica Andreou attended the International Symposium of the United Nations Regular Process, held in collaboration with DOALOS and UNESCO Ocean on 12 and 13 December, as well as the side event on “UN World Ocean Assessment: Getting Society to understand (& care about) the state of the ocean” that attracted more than 200 participants from over 90 countries.
The event took place at UNESCO's Headquarters in Paris. Discussions focused on building capacity, promoting ocean literacy and strengthening the science-policy interface, creating a collective effort to address critical issues facing our oceans.
