The Banker: Bank of Cyprus wins award as Bank of the Year 2023

The Banker, one of the leading international publications focused on banking and finance, has named Bank of Cyprus the Bank of the Year in Cyprus in its 2023 awards.
This award, for which the evaluation period ran from June 2022 to June 2023, is particularly important for the Bank as it recognises the milestones that were achieved over the past year to complete the Bank’s ten-year turnaround while expanding its digital offering to customers and delivering value to shareholders, an announcement from the Bank of Cyprus notes.
On naming Bank of Cyprus the Bank of the Year in Cyprus, Joy Macknight, Editor of The Banker, said, “Congratulations to the Bank of Cyprus for winning the Bank of the Year accolade. The bank has completed its transformation into a well-capitalised, diversified and sustainably profitable banking group, marked by the European Central Bank’s approval to restart dividend payments from its full-year 2022 earnings. Additionally, as part of its ambitious digital transformation plan, the Bank of Cyprus has launched its innovative digital branch, Quickhub, and enabled digital onboarding of new customers.”
