After last year’s success, Christmas Village at Ayia Napa Marina is back and it is more magical than ever, its organisers have revealed.
From 9 December until 30 December, Ayia Napa Marina will be transformed into a big Christmas Village of impressive decorations and full of unique tastes and smells that will awaken the child inside all of us, a relevant announcement notes.
This year’s elevated event will include many festive happenings and surprises that will get kids and grown-ups in the joyous mood of the most wonderful time of the year.
The Christmas Village –which will be set up at the plaza directly in front of the Marina’s Event Center and will extend in front of the restaurants until it reaches the fountain– will be launched on Saturday, 9 December, with what organisers have described as a spectacular lighting ceremony of its big Christmas tree at 6.30pm, which will be presented by Antri Karantoni and Kostas Karnakis, followed by an uplifting live appearance by the band OnTour.
Each day at the Christmas Village will be full of festive activities, live acts, seasonal treats and various happenings both for younger and older visitors, that will culminate in the grand concert which will be given by Hovig on 22 December. The lighting ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus, Constantinos Ioannou.

So, from 9 December until 30 December, visitors will all have the chance to find themselves in an enchanted world, one that is reminiscent of Europe’s Christmas markets, adorned with countless lights and Christmas ornaments, where they can also visit Santa’s workshop or take photos and exchange hugs with the big teddy bear that will await them on the swing.
And because Christmas is first and foremost a children’s affair, the Christmas Village will give the little ones the chance to enjoy free rides on the carousel and the Ferris wheel, to take photos with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and of course receive their gifts from Santa Claus himself.
"As parents, you will get to indulge in fanciful arts and crafts along with your kids, as well as enjoy spectacular shows, dance numbers, theatre plays, live acts, and many many more. Last but not least, Christmas is not only fun and games but also full of wonderful tastes and smells, so make sure to pass by the wooden houses of the Village’s Christmas market and enjoy freshly roasted chestnuts, sweet and savoury treats, and seasonal beverages, but also shop gifts for you and your loved ones," the announcement notes.
The Christmas Village at Ayia Napa Marina is a splendid festive experience, a tribute to the most loved time of the year full of daily happenings and activities for all.
