President to visit Paris for talks with Macron

President Nikos Christodoulides will pay a visit to Paris for talks with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, after the next European Council meeting at the end of March.

The Cyprus News Agency (CNA) has learned that President Macron invited Christodoulides for a thorough discussion of the latter's proposal for a more active involvement of the EU in efforts for a Cyprus settlement, under UN auspices.

The invitation was extended on Monday evening during a telephone conversation between the two Presidents’ offices.

On the sidelines of the European Council on 22 March, Christodoulides will meet separately with the heads of the EU institutions; European Council President Charles Michel, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
