Job vacancies down 18.9% in Q4 2022

The number of job vacancies in the fourth quarter of 2022 decreased by 1,822 (-18.9%) compared to the same quarter of the previous year when the number was 9,643.

According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, the number of job vacancies in Q4 of 2022 reached 7,821, Compared with the number of job vacancies in the third quarter, they were down 1,353 (-14.7%).

The job vacancy rate in the fourth quarter was 1.9%, while the job vacancy rate in the previous quarter and the fourth quarter of 2021 was 2.2% and 2.4% respectively.

The highest rates were observed in the Sectors of Accommodation and Food Service Activities (3.0%), Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation Activities (2.9%) and were followed by the Sectors of Financial and Insurance Activities, Administrative and Support Service Activities and Education with the same rate (2.5%).
