"Whistleblower" Israeli professor claims Hunter Biden used FBI mole for business gain

Israeli professor Gal Luft – under house arrest in Cyprus on a US warrant for arms trafficking charges – has now claimed that US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter paid an FBI informant “handsomely” to provide insider information to his Chinese business partners.

Luft’s latest claims have reportedly prompted an investigation by the US House Oversight Committee.

Luft, also an energy security and diplomatic expert, was arrested last month in Cyprus on a US warrant for charges of arms trafficking to China and Libya. He claims that his prosecution is politically motivated and that the Justice Department is trying to discredit him over “dirt” he has on Biden’s deals with China.

The Israeli professor’s lawyer has said that Luft gained insight into the deals after having relationships with Hunter Biden's Chinese business partners, Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, both of whom were being investigated for money laundering. The lawyer said Luft came to learn that Hunter had the highly placed informant in the FBI, known as “One-Eye”, who was “paid handsomely” to provide secret or sealed law enforcement information.

The US Congress is currently examining allegations of corruption involving Hunter Biden and his dealings with Chinese and Ukrainian nationals, including an appointment to the board of Burisma, an energy company registered in Cyprus.

Local authorities arrested Gal Luft as he was boarding a plane for Israel at Larnaca International Airport back in February. The professor confirmed his arrest a few days later in a tweet, claiming it was part of a “politically motivated extradition request by the US” where he has been wanted for illegal export of arms to China and Libya. “The US, claiming I’m an arms dealer. It would be funny if it weren’t tragic. I’ve never been an arms dealer,” Luft tweeted. He further claimed that his arrest was an effort by the Biden administration to silence him for cooperating with an investigation into the US president’s son’s business dealings.

Luft has been publicly critical of US foreign policy, as well as the Biden administration as a whole, in the past. According to Intelligence Online, Luft also has extensive ties in Washington, including a role at two think tanks whose officials and members include prominent retired US spy chiefs.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the US Oversight Committee, James Comer, has reportedly confirmed to The New York Post that Luft’s lawyer has been in contact with congressional investigators.
