Which shops will be open on 25 March and 1 April

While most shops are expected to remain open on Saturday, 25 March, general retail outlets will have to be closed on Saturday, 1 April, according to the Labour Ministry.

A Ministry announcement said that, in accordance to the relevant law, shops dealing in retail such as clothing, footwear, and also supermarkets, including stores situated within malls, can remain open on the first upcoming public holiday, but must remain closed on the second (1 April)

According to the Ministry, employees working on public holidays, including those in the specialised category of outlets, such as kiosks, bakeries, restaurants, and cafes, permitted to open on 1 April, must be compensated 1:2 for every hour they work on either of the two public holidays.
