Employer Brand Project Manager, GR8 Tech: The Cyprus business environment has huge potential

From Ukraine, Liliia Yevsiukova is enjoying sharing her skills with the local Cypriot marketing, employer branding, and events sector.

Describe your current job in Cyprus.

The main task of the Employer Brand Project Manager is to increase employer brand awareness. It is a multitasking specialist role for a pool of various tools: own events (tech and business), partnerships, social media, and media. All our projects are implemented in close synergy with the company’s recruiting, communication, and marketing strategies.

What led to your move from Ukraine to Cyprus?

The war in my country has shown the world that Ukrainians are strong and brave. Despite everything, we continue to build our business. Our company has gone through a transformation, we have rebranded and opened a new office in the Czech Republic, so we have new aims. My goal is to develop our employer brand in Cyprus.

How does the professional environment in Cyprus differ from that in Ukraine?

The professional environment in Cyprus differs from that in Ukraine in the way that, in Cyprus, establishing personal relationships with contractors, partners, etc., is very important. Also, there is not so much speed here as in Ukraine, and so I can feel the work/life balance much more.

How do you view the business environment in your particular industry?

The business environment of Cypriot marketing, employer branding, and events has huge potential. We are happy to share our experience and are already preparing exciting projects. We received a lot of good feedback about our speaker’s presentation and our stand at the Reflect Festival 2022 when we were Parimatch Tech, and now, as GR8 Tech, we are ready to impress even more. We will be holding an unusual event for the island: “Not just FUN” – it is “F*ckUp Night Format” – a global format and event series where stories of failure are shared. It will be the perfect platform for the business environment of Cyprus, where we can meet and share amazing business stories and experiences.

How do you find working and living in Cyprus? How easily did you adapt to life here?

Cyprus is a beautiful sunny island and Cypriots are such friendly people. The adaptation process continues but I feel that I have great support from both my Cypriot colleagues and Ukrainian colleagues who had previously relocated here.
