Job vacancy at Wargaming: Senior or Lead Data Scientist

Wargaming.net is looking to recruit a Senior or Lead Data Scientist to join its Creative Research team in Nicosia.

According to the company, the successful candidate will work in the intersection of game development and data science, their role being to deliver state-of-the-art Machine Learning solutions for the gaming giant’s game development processes.

“The ideal candidate won’t just help us to increase our analytical tasks but will bring a new knowledge and experience to the team – including your experience across Reinforcement Learning or Deep Generative Models,” it said

As a subject matter expert, the new senior or lead data scientist will be working in close collaboration with game teams to identify, prototype and implement solutions to change the game production and player experience.

“We are looking for a new team member with strong interpersonal skills and a combination of analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and accountability,” said Wargaming.

Among other, the new recruit will analyse data and apply researching, designing, implementing, and deploying full-stack scalable data analytics vision and machine learning solutions to challenge various business issues. They will also prepare analytical reports in a simple, understandable way for a business or technical audience, as well as develop specifications for created models for further automation.

The required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (applied mathematics, statistics or data mining), ability to work with both structured and unstructured data, and experience with Reinforcement Learning or Deep Generative Models, and other state of the art techniques.
