Prince Albert II of Monaco visiting Cyprus on the invitation of John Christodoulou

H.S.H Prince Albert II will be visiting Cyprus for a short visit, upon the invitation of his personal friend – Cypriot businessman, Mr. John Christodoulou. The Prince will be welcomed by Mr. John Christodoulou himself with a shot of Cypriot drink Zivania!

Among other cultural places, Mr. Christodoulou will guide the Prince at the famous village of Lefkara, a place with a rich history. As it is said, Leonardo da Vinci visited Lefkara as a guest of Catherine Cornaro - Queen of Cyprus and bought a traditional embroidery, donated to the Milan Cathedral.

The Prince and the distinguished Monaco-resident guests will attend a dinner at a known hotel in Limassol, where a traditional 50-year-old Coumandaria will be served. The dinner will be also attended by the newly elected, young President of the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Nikos Christodoulides, well known for his strong orientation on strengthening the European bonds of Cyprus. In fact, during this meeting, Prince Albert II will be awarded a prize for his overall contribution to the protection of the environment.

The 35 guests of Mr. John Christodoulou who are visiting Cyprus, will have a short acquaintance with our island. They will also attend the award ceremony that will take place on Monday, April 3rd at Monte Caputo in Limassol for the "Love Cyprus" Cyprus-wide school competition organized by the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation.

During the ceremony, eight schools will be awarded for their masterpieces with cash prizes of €180,000, as it has been always the passion for Mr Christodoulou to teach children to work hard and rightfully earn what they aim for. The evening will conclude with a wonderful concert from very favorable singer, Konstantinos Argyros.

Christian Moore, director and son of the famous actor Roger Moore, Anna Vissi and Marianna Latsi, are among the guests and will also be Judges to the finals of the Competition.

During their short trip to Cyprus, the distinguished guests are expected to be guided to Lefkara, Omodos, Kourio, and the old town of Limassol. They will dine at selected restaurants, while also trying the Cypriot cuisine in traditional taverns. We are sure that there will be a permanent shot of zivania at every occasion.
