Invest Cyprus joins global best practices promotion association WAPPP

Invest Cyprus, the government’s investment authority dedicated to attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment, has joined the World Association of PPP Units & Professionals (WAPPP).

Based in Geneva, WAPPP is a non-profit global association bringing together public and private stakeholders involved in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to promote best practices and foster the exchange of knowledge and experience among its members.

According to WAPPP, PPPs are not only a procurement tool but also a means for development and of achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Commenting, Invest Cyprus Chairman, Evgenios Evgeniou, said the organisation was pleased to have joined WAPPP, adding that Invest Cyprus understands the importance of collaborating with public and private stakeholders to achieve the common goal of advancing PPP initiatives.

“We are confident that through our membership, we will have access to invaluable resources, insights, and networking opportunities,” Evengiou added.

Evgeniou also said Invest Cyprus looked forward to working alongside other members to identify and develop innovative PPP projects.
