CSR Cyprus Honours CSR Best Practices

This summer sees the return of the Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility Best Practices Awards organised by CSR Cyprus with the aim of recognising and honouring organisations that implement initiatives with social/environmental and business benefits.

Applications need to be submitted within…the next 10 days!

The competition will promote and publicize the way Cypriot enterprises manage issues of concern to themselves and their stakeholders through CSR activities. The countdown has already begun and entries must be submitted by e-mail to info@csrcyprus.org.cy by 5 May 2003.

Why participate?

The benefits to companies that enter the competition are enormous. Through their participation, these businesses will be recognised as leaders in Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility. Moreover, their reputation and credibility will grow and strengthen at both a local and European level, at the same time demonstrating their innovation and commitment to sustainable development.

Another significant advantage is the fact that participating companies and organisations will further boost Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility across the country as more businesses are inspired to adopt similar best practices.

CSR Cyprus Chairwoman Elli Ioannidou notes: “As the main national business network for Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility and ESG criteria, CSR Cyprus applauds Cypriot enterprises that undertake CSR activities in the context of their strategic plan, which are aligned with their corporate goals, based on their research into social and environmental needs and, above all, accompanied by monitoring of their own impact. It is for this reason that we created the CSR & Best Practices Awards and we urge every Cypriot enterprise to participate by presenting their own best practices in this area and demonstrating the true meaning and value of Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility in today’s world.”

Previous awards

It should be noted that, in the past, CSR Cyprus has honoured numerous well-known companies and NGOs with awards, including SupportCY (Bank of Cyprus), Cyta (as Strategic Partner of the Cyprus Forest Association), Vassiliko Cement Works PLC and others. Other winners include the Logicom Academic Merit Scholarship Programme and, among participating academic institutions, the University of Nicosia.

Criteria

The Best Practices that are submitted will be examined by an Evaluation Committee on the basis of their Strategic Approach, Implementation and Results.

The competition is open to all business entities active in Cyprus. They may submit up to two best practices, provided that these relate to two separate programmes implemented in Cyprus.

The names of the prizewinners will be announced at a special ceremony during the 15th CSR Conference, which takes place on 4 July 2023 at the Hilton Nicosia.
