Zorbas Group opens fourth shop in New York

Staying true to its successful philosophy and committed to offering its customers a unique culinary experience, the Zorbas Group is continuing its success beyond Cypriot borders by opening its fourth consecutive bakery shop in New York, under its brand name “The French Workshop”.

The new shop opened last month as yet another sample of the successful collaboration between the Zorbas Group and the Pantelatou family, and is located in the up and coming Wantagh area. Wantagh stands out for its residential and family character, while it is in close proximity to Jones Beach island, just off the south coast of the popular location Long Island. The group’s fourth shop remains true to its successful recipes and values, which are to offer its visitors an excellent service and top quality products.

As is the case with the other three “The French Workshops”, the new shop offers a broad variety of bakery and confectionery products that are based on authentic French recipes. The most popular products are its small pastry pies and freshly baked breads, confectioneries and ground coffee. As for the decor, it has a modern aesthetic with contemporary furniture, glass, marble and a French finesse.

Demetris Zorbas, CEO of Zorbas Group, said: “We are particularly pleased and immensely gratified to see our vision pay off and the Group’s success spread outside of Cypriot borders, winning a place in the hearts of New Yorkers and beyond. In the more than eight years that we have been active in the American market, with the Pantelatou family by our side, which I would like to warmly thank for the kind cooperation, the four ‘The French Workshop’ bakeries have managed to become a meeting point, both for locals as well as the Greek community, which has embraced this whole endeavour from the very beginning. This gives us the strength to carry on with the same enthusiasm for the future, with our top priority always being to provide an excellent service and a top quality culinary experience.”

The first “The French Workshop” opened in the Queens area of New York in 2015. The second followed in Garden City in 2018, followed by the third in 2021, on South Oyster Bay street.
