European Commissioners Schinas, Hahn and Kyriakides in Cyprus

Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Promotion of the European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, European Commissioner for Budget and Administration, Johannes Hahn and the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides are in Cyprus for a series of meetings with officials and stakeholders.

Schinas will be received on 22 May by the President of the Cyprus Republic, Nikos Christodoulides. He will also meet with Minister of Interior, Constantinos Ioannou, as well as with Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, and Minister of Justice, Anna Koukkides-Procopiou, while he will also participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Nicola David-Pinedo Cyprus Cancer Research Institute Building.

On 23 May, Schinas will have meetings with the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, and with Archbishop of Cyprus Georgios.

Hahn accompanied by Finance Minister Makis Keravnos, will be received on the morning of 22 May by Christodoulides, at the Presidential Palace.

Kyriakides is also in Nicosia until 26 May. On 22 May she will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Cyprus Cancer Research Institute.

On 25 May, the Commissioner will give a speech, via videoconference, at the webinar 'Europe's Beating Cancer Plan - First EU4Health Project Showcase', organised by the European Commission for European Cancer Week.

Finally, on Friday 26 May, she will deliver a speech at the 19th Annual General Assembly of Europa Uomo Cyprus, while on the same day, she will also visit Europa Donna House in Larnaca.
