Aroundtown SA: The global real estate giant invests in Larnaca port

Aroundtown SA, a leading global real estate company with a focus on income generating quality properties in prime locations across the world, has acquired a shareholding in Kition Ocean Holdings – the consortium that is implementing the massive Larnaca port and marina project.

The news was announced by the Cyprus Commission for the Protection of Competition.

Aroundtown SA is a publicly listed real estate company, registered in Luxembourg, which invests in commercial and residential properties in central locations in European cities, primarily in Germany and the Netherlands.

Its investments are carried out through the subsidiary Grand City Properties SA, which is active mainly in Germany’s real estate market.

Larnaca has become a huge attraction for investments in recent years. Beyond the port and marina development, the town has been undergoing somewhat of an overhaul, especially following the removal of the oil and gas refineries from the Oroklini beach area. The fact that it hosts the island’s main international airport just adds to the emerging town’s appeal.
