Investment fund assets up 7% in Q1

Total assets of investment funds in Cyprus increased 7% in March 2023 compared to December 2022.

According to the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), the number of investment funds increased from 286 in December 2022 to 290 in March 2023.

The total assets of these funds increased by approximately 7% to €8.3b in March, compared with €7.7b in December 2022.

The increase was mainly due to the value of the shares that the investment funds had in their assets, which amounted to €6.48b compared to €5.98b in December 2022.

At the end of March, shares corresponded to 78% of the total assets of investment funds.
