TELETHON TV marathon returning to CyBC to make heart-warming impact

The highly anticipated TELETHON TV marathon is set to make a triumphant comeback on CyBC 1 on Thursday, 8 June, 2023, at 9pm, to provide crucial financial support to individuals with muscular dystrophy and promote the research programs of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
CyBC1 will once again become the platform for this charitable event, as it did during its inaugural year in 1994, promising an evening overflowing with love and compassion.
According to a relevant announcement, "During this extraordinary live broadcast, viewers' hearts will beat in unison for the philanthropic institution TELETHON. The primary goal of TELETHON is to provide crucial financial support to individuals with muscular dystrophy and promote the research programs of the esteemed Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics."
In a united effort, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) and ALPHA Cyprus have joined forces to bring the messages and purpose of TELETHON to the public throughout the day. During the day, on Thursday, 8 June their TV programs will be dedicated to sharing vital information about TELETHON. Then, in the evening, two well-known and beloved presenters, Christiana Aristotelous and Stavros Kyprianou, will welcome viewers to CyBC for a special night "filled with entertainment and profound emotions."
"Accompanying them will be a line-up of distinguished guests who will share remarkable human stories that deserve our admiration. They will also deliver messages of support and hope for our fellow citizens who are facing challenging times. The artistic program will feature captivating performances by the beloved singers Loukas Giorkas and Stella Georgiadou," the announcement continues.
Throughout the live broadcast, a dedicated call center operated by CYTA will be available. Staffed by volunteers, including popular artists and well-known personalities, the call center will facilitate the recording of viewers' generous donations.
The broadcast will be simultaneously aired on CyBC's satellite channel RIKSAT and online, ensuring a wide audience can engage with this remarkable event, so be sure to save the date.
