Kreston ITH is on the lookout for a Senior Accountant

Nicosia-based accounting firm Kreston ITH is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Accountant to join its team.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain books and records and manage a portfolio of clients (both local but mainly international business); have a good knowledge and understanding of VAT legislation; deal with complex accounting transactions and advise on recording of records; liaise with the auditors and ensure the accuracy of the accounting information to be handed over; review/oversee a portfolio of accounting clients (depending on level of experience); train and coach new Trainee Employees; and prepare the audit file and Financial Statements (Caseware) to send to the Auditors.

They must have a deep understanding of reporting complex financial transactions, excellent communication skills, strong team working skills, an ability to prioritise workloads in this rapidly changing industry, and the ability to multitask between projects.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business Management or another related field, while if they are ACCA/ACA Qualified or Part Qualified, it will be considered added advantage. It is also essential that they have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in client Accounting.

Finally, they must have excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language.
