Presenting the most preferred brands of car for rental

The registration of rental cars showed a 31% increase in the first five months of 2023, with figures reaching 2,634.

In what is expected to be a record year for tourism, and one returning to pre-pandemic levels, rental cars continue to record strong momentum, gaining a significant share of the car market.

One in five cars for rental

Since passenger saloon car registrations for the first five months of the year reached 14,434, rental cars are estimated to account for 18%.

Of the 2,634 rental car registrations, 1,554 or 59% were used

The most preferred brands

The top most preferred rental brand is Kia with 653 registrations for the period January - May 2023.

Nissan ranks second, with 596 registrations, followed by Toyota with 535 registrations.

Further down are brands such as Suzuki (130) and Mazda (129).

From the sixth to the tenth place of rental car registrations we find popular brands such as Volkswagen (96), Honda (76), Hyundai (58), Skoda (55) and Mercedes (36).
