Revolut: Key collaboration with Public Greece and Cyprus

Revolut, the global financial super-app with more than 30 million customers worldwide, has announced an extremely important partnership with Public Greece and Cyprus. From now on, Revolut customers who make purchases on the Public.gr website will be able to pay with just a few clicks, using Revolut Pay.

“In addition to making purchases faster, easier and more carefree, Revolut Pay also reduces the chance of a payment being delayed or not completed, which is a source of dissatisfaction for the buyers,” an announcement said.

Public and Revolut aspire to be a game-changer in the payments ecosystem by making online shopping even easier. The new feature makes instant payments easier while providing top-notch security for Revolut users. Payments are verified through security features such as facial recognition and fingerprint unlocking, and account details are not shared with third parties. This helps prevent fraud while ensuring that users’ money stays safe while shopping.

Matthew Acton Davis, Partner & VP, Global Head of Sales at Revolut, said: “We are proud of our partnership with Public, the omnichannel retail leader with a strong brand and presence in the Greek market. Together, we are launching a new way that will allow millions of Greeks to shop more easily and safely at the country’s best-known online retailers.”

Nikos Varvadoukas, VP Brand, Customer & Omnichannel at Public Group, added: “This is another important collaboration for us, with which we offer secure and flexible payment solutions to our customers. With one click to Revolut Pay, we add value to consumers who shop online by enhancing our customers’ experience with innovative platforms and services that complement the omnichannel shopping journey.”

Shoppers can choose the ‘Revolut Pay’ option when completing their online purchase, without having to use a credit or debit card to pay. The confirmation of payment is requested through the Revolut app, which is protected by a password or biometric identification. After the payment is confirmed by the app, consumers return to the merchant’s website for confirmation. Consumers who are not Revolut users can pay just as easily using stored Mastercard or Visa cards issued by third-party providers.
