FinMin travels to Luxembourg for Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings

Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos is in Luxembourg to take part in the Euro area Finance Ministers Council (Eurogroup) and EU Finance Minister council (Ecofin), as well as the Annual General Meetings of the European Stability Mechanism and the European Investment Bank.

Cyprus’ 14th post-programme monitoring report will be discussed during the Eurogroup meeting, according to an official announcement.

The Euro Area Finance Ministers will also discuss the post-proramme reports for Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Spain, as well as the progress being made with the digital euro.

The Ecofin Council will discuss the “VAT in the digital ages” legislative package and the proposed reform of the EU fiscal governance.

In the context of the European Semester, the Council will adopt the recommendations on the 2023 national reform programme and will provide its opinion on the updated stability and convergence programmes.
