Mall of Cyprus supports ANAKYKLOS clothing recycling programme

The Mall of Cyprus has installed a donation box at its underground entrance, supporting the ANAKYKLOS Programme for the Collection and Recycling of Clothing.

The donation box can be found between the two entrances – 1 and 2 – making it easy for the visitors of the Mall of Cyprus to make their donations and create a sustainable change through an act of kindness.

ANAKYKLOS TEXTILES LTD was established with the primary goal of protecting the environment, specialising in the collection of unwanted clothing and related items that end up in the landfills.

“Reducing the amount of garbage that ends up in landfills is not just a goal and obligation of Cyprus, but it saves resources and energy which contributes towards a cleaner and healthier environment,” the Mall of Cyprus said.

ANAKYKLOS TEXTILES LTD collects second hand clothing, shoes, bags, belts and white items through donation boxes. The items are then forwarded and sorted, and those which can be reused are donated to people, while those that are damaged are recycled to produce other materials.
