Asbis’ AENO heater receives prestigious Red Dot Award

AENO Premium Eco Smart Heater - part of the brand portfolio of Cyprus-based ASBIS Enterprises PLC – has won the prestigious international Red Dot Award 2023 in the categories “Heating and air conditioning technology” and “Smart products” for “smart functionality, user-friendly operation” and purist design.

Equipped with Wi-Fi, the device can be easily controlled via a mobile app, allowing users to set schedules, adjust temperature, and monitor energy consumption in real time.

According to the Red Dot Awards jury: “The main feature of the AENO Premium Eco Smart Heater is its hardened glass housing that is only 11 mm thick. There are no screws or metal parts on the front, so the unit exudes a smooth, clean look. There is only a power button on the housing – further control is done via an app. The heater can be placed on the floor with a stand or mounted on the wall. The infrared technology uses direct rays for the fastest and efficient and most economical heating. The heater is available in black and white and thus fits in with any type of interior style. The jury highlighted the purist design of the device: “It radiates calm and practicality and thus enriches any interior.”

“AENO Premium Eco Smart is a heater that combines smart functionality with energy-saving technology and a minimalist appearance,” said the jury.

The unit is composed of two extremely thin panels of tempered glass with an infrared heating element between them. The smart heater combines adapted heating panel temperature, adjustable room temperature, fall protection sensor and timers in an invisible design. The puristic glass front in black or white is only interrupted by a backlit switch-on button, as the entire system, as well as the control of the energy consumption, is carried out via an app. “Smart functionality, user-friendly operation and a very reduced design are combined here in a convincing way,” the jury said.

The Red Dot Design Award is perhaps the most prestigious design competition in the world, with a panel of international experts evaluating thousands of entries based on criteria such as innovation, functionality, and aesthetics. The winners were announced back in April, but traditionally, the section with the list of products and online presentations is updated on the day of the Red Dot Gala, which took place this year on 19 June in Essen at the Red Dot Museum (Germany).

All award-winning entries are displayed to a global audience in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website. In addition to details about the products, the creators, and the manufacturers, prospective clients, potential clients, journalists and buyers can check out the jury’s verdicts and product images.
