CITEA President: Think digital, innovate with technology

Businesses need to think digital and innovate with technology, according to President of the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) Demetris Nisiotis.

Addressing the 2nd CITEA Digital Cyprus Conference 2023 on 22 June, Nisiotis said the association paid a lot of attention to AI technologies as it considers Cyprus’ digital transformation as crucial.

He said businesses’ digitisation should be based on three basic pillars: resilience, sustainability and growth.

As for the challenges, Nisiotis said there was the business world’s digital transformation, the digital transformation and modernisation of the government, and the threat of cybersecurity. The shortage of ICT specialists and skills is also a significant problem, he said.

“New technologies are very important for the future,” he said. “Think digital. Use technology to innovate. Transform your business and introduce smart and innovative solutions.”
