Bank of Cyprus receives prestigious recognition from Citi

Bank of Cyprus has announced that it has been honored by Citi with a prestigious award in recognition of their enduring 50-year correspondent banking relationship for US dollar Clearing.

This significant milestone not only symbolises the strength and trust that underpins the partnership with Citi, but also highlights the Bank of Cyprus' dedication to fostering international financial connections and delivering exceptional services to clients worldwide, a relevant announcement said.

For half a century, Bank of Cyprus and Citi have worked collaboratively to build a mutually beneficial partnership founded on shared values, professionalism, and a commitment to providing world-class financial solutions. This award from Citi serves as a testament to Bank of Cyprus' unwavering commitment to delivering excellence in correspondent banking and facilitating seamless global transactions, it added.

The 50 years milestone was celebrated at the Citi Financial Institutions Global Conference, hosted by Citi in Athens. Around 200 leading financial professionals from 60 countries attended the event. Participants were representing renowned financial institutions that maintain a correspondent banking relationship with Citi.

Bank of Cyprus was the only bank from Cyprus to receive the recognition along with leading international banks.
