2nd CITEA Digital Cyprus Conference: Recognising important contributions to IT

Four personalities who left their mark on the development of IT in Cyprus were awarded by the CITEA Board of Directors, in the context of the 2nd CITEA Digital Cyprus Conference.

The awards were presented to the former Deputy Minister of Research and Innovation, Kyriacos Kokkinos, Chairman of the Cyprus Computer Society, Costas Agrotis, and former President of the Republic of Cyprus, George Vassiliou (who is not pictured here).

In recognition of his contribution, the late and first President of the Society, Michaelis Michaelides, was also awarded, with his award received by his wife Anna and his daughter Alexia.

The prizes were presented by the President of the Cyprus Association of Information Technology Enterprises (CITEA), Dimitris Nisiotis, as well as the Board of Directors.

The Association, through the award, expressed its gratitude to the awardees for all they contributed to the development and progress of the sector in Cyprus.

The 2nd CITEA Digital Cyprus Conference 2023 presented the newest trends in smart technologies that are anticipated to reshape the business and social landscape in the coming years. The significant event was not limited to smart technology, but covered a wide range of topics related to digital life. The participants attended a series of round table discussions, which focused on the current conditions at the local level and the prospects for the future.
