According to the company’s website, in following the all-sports-under-one-roof concept, the store features Test Zones to experience products before buying them.

“Although the chain sells international brand names, its strength lies in researching and developing its own brands,” it said. “Since its inception, Decathlon’s goal has been to make sports accessible to the greatest number of people, from beginners to professionals, by providing world-class products at reasonable prices.”

Founded as a family business in 1976, Decathlon now runs over 2,000 stores in 56 countries over five continents, employing almost 100,000 people, and is considered the world’s biggest sporting goods chain.
