President Christodoulides to attend EUCO and EPP Summits

President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, is in Brussels to participate in the European Council Summit scheduled for the 29 and 30 of June.

He will also attend, on the morning of 29 June, the European People's Party (EPP) Summit.

According to a statement by the Presidency, the topics to be examined during the summit include the situation in Ukraine, Migration, Economy, EU External Relations, Defence, and Security.

As part of the Council's activities, the heads of state or government of the EU member countries will have a working lunch with the Secretary-General of NATO.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Christodoulides will participate in the proceedings of the EPP Summit.  Democratic Rally (DISY) President Anita Demetriou will also participate in the meeting.

President Christodoulides had also received an invitation from the Renew group, which includes French President Emmanuel Macron. However, the meeting is taking place at the same time as the EPP meeting, which will be hosted by the EPP President Manfred Weber and will be attended by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.
