"Professional services will emerge stronger from its current challenges," said Haris Pistos, Director, International Banking, Bank of Cyprus, calling on professionals in the field to embrace a new era.

The current period is transitional for the professional services sector, he commented, underlining the need to adapt and take advantage of the opportunities that arise.

According to Pistos, the sector has in the past had to face serious challenges, however, it managed to find solutions, highlight competitive advantages, and emerge stronger.

Speaking as part of an opening speech at the 8th Cyprus Professional Services Conference presented by the Bank of Cyprus, Pistos also referred to the Russian sanctions, calling on the industry to remain strong this time and embrace "a new era".

Finally, he characterised as being of great importance, "the sustainable model for our country", a model that is "reliable at the global level".
