Hope For Children receives the UEFA Foundation For Children award through the CFA

The International Humanitarian Organisation "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center has been selected by UEFA through the "UEFA Foundation For Children" to be awarded for the work it carries out, following the nomination submitted by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), while also receiving financial support of €43,500.

The "UEFA Foundation For Children" is a charitable organisation created by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) as part of its Social Responsibility towards children in need of financial and psychological support.

Every year, the "UEFA Foundation For Children" honors charitable organisations and humanitarian foundations for their outstanding contribution to supporting vulnerable and marginalised children, while adhering to the foundation's statutes and code of ethics. This year, the €1 million award was distributed among 23 organisations from all over Europe whose primary focus is the protection of children's rights. In total, 101 organisations have benefited from this additional funding since the establishment of the awards in 2017.

The right to submit a nomination to propose a foundation or organisation is held by the 55 member associations of UEFA. The CFA submitted the nomination of "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center.

Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA and Chairman of the Management Board of the "UEFA Foundation For Children," referring to this year's awards, stated, "On behalf of UEFA, I would like to express my sincere admiration for our winners, for their tireless efforts and dedication, which have significantly influenced the lives of children. Through their selfless work, they have become beacons of hope and inspiration for countless children, empowering them to overcome challenges and fully realise their potential."

On her part, Andria Neocleous, Executive Director of "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center, emphasised the importance of this award, "This recognition satisfies and delights us, as it constitutes a significant acknowledgment of the work and efforts of Hope For Children. We thank the CFA for the honor of submitting our nomination, as well as UEFA for the selection. Such awards inspire us to continue with even greater energy and intensity, always for the benefit of children and their rights. The financial support accompanying the award enhances the support services we provide to vulnerable children, as well as awareness-raising and education initiatives."
