Antonis Kocheilas: The 8 habits of the marketing clients of the future

One of the most well-known personalities from the field of Advertising, Antonis Kocheilas the Global CEO of Ogilvy Advertising, has shared his expertise and advice at the 20th Marketing, Advertising and Communication Conference.

Organised by IMH, the 20th Marketing, Advertising and Communication Conference is taking place in Nicosia on 30 June. The event is sponsored by ImarComms, NetU, Red Wolf, and Webarts.

According to Ogilvy Advertising’s Global CEO, the customer of the future has certain characteristic behaviors. First, he's looking for results, not just approval. Second, he perceives strategy as a point of departure rather than a final destination. The client of the future also recognises creativity as an investment rather than a risk.

In addition, the customer of the future is open to new ideas and embraces them, rather than analysing and rejecting them. He accepts what trends of the future are best and not just what is right at that given moment. In addition, the client also differentiates in the comments they collect. Now they share feedback instead of being afraid. In the process, the client of the future plays "legos" not "jenga," the expert said. As Kocheilas explained at this point, people with a growth mindset see challenges as opportunities and failures as lessons, while people who don't see outside the box limit themselves and give up quickly.

Finally, a modern customer expresses gratitude without argument, saying "thank you very much" instead of "thanks but...". "Showing gratitude to employees is the easiest, fastest and most inexpensive way to increase performance," he said.

Kocheilas was also recognised for his contribution to the industry with an award at the event.
