Bank of Cyprus: Winner of Best Corporate Governance at World Finance Awards

Τhe World Finance Award for Best Corporate Governance was presented to the Bank of Cyprus in the United Kingdom.

This is an important milestone for Cyprus as it marks the first time that a Cypriot organisation has received such a prestigious recognition amongst all organisations and primarily LSE-listed corporations in the UK.

The World Finance Organisation is based in the UK and is the go-to resource for market analysts, investors, wealth managers and economists, which uses a wide range of criteria to inform its decision over the issuing of awards on various categories with the prime category being the one on corporate governance.

Further to this recognition, the Bank’s Chief Compliance Officer and Head of its Corporate Governance function, Marios Skandalis, mentioned that this unique achievement is a testament to the continuous dedication and hard work of the management and workforce of the Bank, that managed to successfully embed in its corporate culture the high standards of corporate governance set by its Board of Directors. Bank of Cyprus is committed to continue leading this path and set itself as a benchmark of international excellence on this area, aspiring fully to the expectations of its shareholders, clients, and all other stakeholders.
