Decathlon celebrates Grand Opening of first store in Cyprus

Decathlon, the leading French sports retailer, marked a huge milestone by opening its first store in Cyprus on 13 July at Metropolis Mall in Larnaca.

The event was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including government and local officials; the President was represented by Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Philippos Hadjizaharias, the Ambassador of France in Cyprus, Salina Grenet-Catalano, as well as team members of the Decathlon brand from France.

During the event, the attendees had the opportunity to explore Decathlon’s huge retail space and sports equipment, designed to offer a the best possible shopping experience, with many enjoying sport activities, competitions and amazing gifts.

Decathlon showcased a series of equipment that cater to sports enthusiasts, adventure lovers, and professional athletes.

"The grand opening event not only marked a significant milestone for Decathlon but also represented a massive moment for Larnaca, while its arrival brings a world class sports retail experience for all people of Cyprus," Decathlon said.

Decathlon Cyprus store is a one-stop-shop where shoppers can find anything across 50+ sports and 5,000+ products.
