Yanna Andronopoulou is the new General Manager of Microsoft Greece, Cyprus and Malta

Yanna Andronopoulou has been named the new General Manager of Microsoft Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, assuming her new duties from 3 July, also the start of the company's 2024 fiscal year.

Andronopoulou a member of the company's management team for the past four years, joined Microsoft in 2014. She led the digital transformation of leading clients in the banking, telecommunications, and insurance industries in Greece and Cyprus, with outstanding results. Andronopoulou also effectively responded to the challenges of the pandemic in her role as Lead, Financial Services and Insurance Accounts, Greece and Cyprus, as well as Sales Director, Enterprise & Public Sector Greece, Cyprus & Malta, and most recently Sales Director, Enterprise Segment Greece, Cyprus, Malta leading her team to achieve strategic deals despite macroeconomic and geopolitical challenges.

Through her innovative approach, Yanna Andronopoulou has established a culture of long-term partnerships with clients and partners, securing the majority of high-profile businesses in her portfolio.

Yanna Andronopoulou strongly supports gender equality at work and the inclusion of women in the technology industry, as she is one of the few women who entered the field early, holding different roles in Sales, Product Management, and Technical Delivery for companies such as Huawei Technologies, Ericsson Hellas and Intracom Telecom. At Microsoft, she also leads the Women Employee Resource Group (ERG), seeking to mobilise the wider company ecosystem to ensure equal opportunities for all.

In her new role, Andronopoulou will focus on further accelerating the private-public sector digital transformation of Greece, Cyprus, and Malta by leveraging artificial intelligence and the opportunities associated with the arrival of Microsoft data centers in the region, including the GRforGrowth initiative.

Regarding the assumption of her new position, Andronopoulou said, “I am excited to lead the amazing Microsoft team in Greece, Cyprus, and Malta at a truly unique time in terms of the dynamics of artificial intelligence and the next opportunities that the Cloud brings. We have the ability to help even more our clients and partners, in the public and private sector, to achieve their goals, to improve the experiences of citizens and through technology and education in it, to create new opportunities for everyone.”
